Could you briefly tell us about yourself and your professional background?In 2003, I started working in the footwear industry as a sales-marketing specialist. I worked as a sales and marketing specialist, sales manager and then general manager in various companies. Afterwards, I decided to start my own business. I had the idea of producing for the Skechers brand in Turkey for a while. I had acquired a know-how about the local production of big brands in China, where I frequently visited due to my job. I contacted my current partner Yasin Kav%u015fak, the founder of Olka Spor, the distributor of Skechers in Turkey, to realize this project. After long efforts and negotiations lasting 1.5 years, we were able to obtain the production license from the USA. Currently, Skechers production is carried out in China, Vietnam, India, and Turkey. In Turkey, we manage the production. Last year, India was able to make 800 thousand pairs as a country. We produced 1 million 100 thousand pairs last year and this year, our target is to produce 1.5 million pairs.What are the core values and mission of Prolab Footwear?Before we started production, we set out with the mission of being the best shoe factory in Turkey. We do whatever it takes to be the best shoe factory in Turkey. We can say that our factory is currently the only one that makes everything from the sole, printing, welding, logo and even the tip of the shoelaces in-house.
